I am incredibly humbled and grateful for your support throughout this campaign.
We lost by 232 votes, but it feels like a major win!
Eight weeks ago this campaign was three people in a dining room talking about how to make Burlington a better place for all. Today we are a grassroots movement of engaged, passionate residents who believe that Burlington’s brightest days are still to come, shaped by the amazing people who live here.
The race was always going to be tight. In a historically conservative district, we pulled off a near upset, pulling the establishment’s attention from other key races across the city. You know you’ve done something right when the other side needed support from the mayor, 6 elected officials, corporate donations, and over $8K to squeak out a victory.
We ran an incredible race and I am truly proud of my team and our wonderful volunteers. And I am inspired by the hundred of neighbors I had the pleasure to introduce myself to this season.
We generated powerful enthusiasm for housing affordability, and safety on North Avenue. We built a conversation around increased services in the New North End, including expanded transportation and mobility for our elders. And we created momentum around community-based action on climate change starting with a ban on plastic straws and bags.
Me and my team will be taking some much-needed rest, but over the next couple of weeks, we will be revamping the website and our social presence to keep you informed on local issues and events.
We knocked on over 1400 doors this past eight weeks, and it’s clear that folks in the New North End and across the city are hungry for community connection, transparency in City Hall, and increased attention to the needs and wishes of our residents.
I look forward to continuing to do my part to support our community, and I want you to know we’re just getting started! Keep an eye out for more to come!

WHY I’M RUNNING
I am running a people-first campaign. I believe that all voices should be heard in City government, not just those voices that can afford to be heard.
As an Attorney, I work to ensure that my client’s legal needs are met and respected, no matter my client’s background or experience. So too, will I put the needs of the New North End first. For too long, City government has been slow to respond (if at all) to the needs of the New North End.
I’m running because I want to ensure that no matter a person’s background, character, or creed, their voice is heard in City government.
I want to encourage smarter, more transparent development in Burlington that addresses housing affordability, and considers all community needs and perspectives.
A Safer North Avenue
I will push for lighted crosswalks and traffic calming devices on North Avenue so that our kids and families
I will work to ensure that our tax dollars are reinvested into the New North End for road improvements, a new bus loop, and expanded senior services.
A Greener Vermont
We can do our part as a community to mitigate climate change by instituting a plastic bag ban, and by expanding bus routes, improving reliability, and lowering rates.
